Questions
Is my trade file uploaded?
No. The page reads the file in your browser and runs the replay there. Nothing about the file is sent anywhere. See privacy.
Which files work?
NinjaTrader 8 trade exports, Tradovate Performance reports, and any CSV with a time column and a profit column. Quantity, symbol, entry and exit prices, MAE and MFE are used when present. See the guides for NinjaTrader 8, Tradovate and other platforms.
How much history do I need?
At least 20 trading days before the tool gives a verdict, and enough for at least 5 back-to-back attempts at an evaluation. A few months is better: the likely range narrows as the number of separate attempts grows.
What does the pass rate mean?
It is the share of days in your history on which a newly bought evaluation would have gone on to pass. It describes your past trades under today's rules. It is not the chance that you will pass next time. See how to read your results.
Why does it say "Don't buy an evaluation on this history yet"?
Either your history lost money after fees, or no evaluation that allows your position size passed often enough. Passes inside a losing record come from short winning streaks, and paying for the next streak is a poor bet. A profitable record after fees changes the answer.
Why are the firm's commissions used instead of mine?
Evaluation accounts charge each firm's own commission schedule, which usually differs from your live broker's. For every trade whose gross profit can be worked out, each firm's replay charges that firm's round-trip rate. Your own fee settings only affect the summary figures. See commissions by firm.
My file shows no fees. Is that a problem?
Backtests and some exports record no commissions. The tool checks each trade's profit against its prices to tell whether fees were taken out, and if they are missing it assumes $4.50 per contract and $1.50 per micro for your summary and for any contract a firm doesn't price. You can change those rates, or confirm your fees really were zero.
Can I use a backtest?
Yes, and the page will say it is a backtest. Backtests fill better than live trading and have no slippage, so treat the result as a test of the strategy, not of how it trades live.
Why isn't my firm here?
The tool covers 10 evaluations from 6 futures firms whose rules we can verify from their own pages: Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, Take Profit Trader, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify and Lucid Trading. More firms will be added only when their rules can be verified the same way.
How current are the rules?
Every evaluation shows the date its rules were last checked against the firm's pages. If a review is more than 14 days old, the tool stops calling any evaluation "potentially suitable" until the rules are checked again. Firms change rules often, so confirm on the firm's site before you buy.
Does passing mean I'll get paid?
No. Passing an evaluation leads to a funded account with its own rules. Funded-account rules and payouts are not modeled here, and most funded traders never receive a payout (Topstep's 2025 disclosure: 33.3% of its funded traders received one).
Is this financial advice?
No. It's a replay of your own past trades under published rules. See the disclosures.
How does the site make money?
Through affiliate commissions on labeled links, when firms approve them. They never change the results. See the disclosures.
